In the United Kingdom, Islamic New Year is not celebrated as much. Similar to other countries, it is quiet and relies on remembrance. The UK does not offer a public holiday on this day.

What is Ashura?

He was still fighting. Their access to water was limited. It was a choice between supporting the government or getting killed. Hussayn stood by his principles and refused to support Yazid.
The result was His Martyr along with his companions. The companions were loyal all the time. The family of Hazrat Hussayn (Alaihissalam) were kept captive. The leadership role was taken by Hazrat Zainab (Alaihissalam).
The ruler died three years after the event. This shows that even the military strength and barbaric nature are powerless at the time of death.
The legacy of Hazrat Hussain (Alaihissalam) will stay forever, because nature took revenge from Yazid.
What happened in Muharram?
The Shahadat of Hazrat Hussain (Alaihissalam) was not the only thing that happened in the month of Muharram. There is a death anniversary of a Sufi named Baba Farid. On the 5th of Muharram, it is on.
Pakistan natives consider it a sacred day, but anyone who shares the same spiritual similarity can value it. He died in the year 661. On the 7th of Muharram, water access to the companions was banned.
One of the worst events in the history of mankind. Muhammad Sirajuddin Naqshbandi was born in 1297 AH. He was an Islamic scholar and the leader of the Mughal Empire. He is the first descendant of someone who built the Taj Mahal.
The Indian Sufi, Ashraf Jahangir Semnani, was born in the year 80. He was the ruler of Semnan
